TOP STORY: Tottenham make £53m move for Lo Celso
Nobody really batted an eyelid when Real Betis signed Giovani Lo Celso from PSG, but Manchester United and Real Madrid are ready to challenge Tottenham for his signature, say Marca.
Tottenham must have taken that to heart as the BBC report that they have dusted off the chequebook and made a £53m bid for the Argentine midfielder.
Spurs have not signed a player since spending £23m on PSG winger Lucas Moura in January 2018. And that turned out OK!
The Spanish side snapped up Lo Celso for around £20m after a successful loan spell this season, but now his release clause is £88m and they won't want to let him go for much less. Meanwhile, PSG reportedly have a 20 percent sell-on clause, so they'll be happy just to watch a bidding war unfurl.

23.20 BST: West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has played down talk of a move to Manchester United.
The 20-year-old, who is preparing for the Nations League finals with England, has been heavily linked with a movet to Old Trafford in recent weeks but doesn't want to talk about speculation.
"During the season last year I signed a five-year contract with West Ham. My focus is fully on playing for West Ham. I've got a great connection with the fans -- I love them, they love me. "That's the way it is at the moment. I'm not thinking about anything else."
Rice, who has been capped twice by England, has also been linked with Manchester City in recent months.
22.49 BST: Joao Cancelo had an up-and-down first season with Juventus and it may just be his last.
Tuttosport reports that the Old Lady are open to selling the Portuguese full-back but are asking for €60 million. Man City are one club who keep popping up regarding the 25-year-old, especially given City's merry-go-round at full-back last season.
22.14 BST: Real Madrid and former wonderkid Martin Odegaard headed for a break?
El Espanyol writes that Madrid are soon set to make a decision regarding the Norwegian's future and that Bayer Leverkusen and Ajax are two potential landing spots for the 20-year-old.
While Real Madrid want to loan the player out for the third time, Odegaard is said to prefer a permanent move so he can really kick-start his career. The Norway international had his best season to date this season in Holland, bagging 11 goals and 12 assists over all competitions for Vitesse.
It appears Odgaard is starting to deliver on some of that hype and promise. The only question now is will his next steps be at Madrid?
21.49 BST: Lyon's Nabil Fekir nearly joined Liverpool last summer before the French side blocked the move at the last possible moment.
The France international is a wanted man again this summer and Catalan newspaper Sport, via sportwitness, claims two other Premier League clubs --Manchester City and Chelsea -- have "bid" for Fekir.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has previously stated that there is an "understanding" between club and player that Fekir will be allowed to leave this summer. One more team to keep an eye on? Real Madrid.
Sport claims that Los Blancos are also monitoring the player's situation and the player himself has publicly said he would "never say no" to joining up with Zinedine Zidane.

21.00 BST: Is Guillermo Ochoa set to finally return to Liga MX?
The El Tri goalkeeper has recently been linked with former club America but ESPN Mexico's John Sutcliffe is reporting that it is Atlas who are talking with th 33-year-old. Ochoa, who was born in Guadalajara, where Atlas is located, last played in Liga MX in 2011 and will become a free agent once his contract at Belgium's Standard Liege expires next month.
20.18 BST: Aston Villa are officially headed back to the big time, and if they hope to stay there, the club knows it will need to open up its pocketbooks.
A day after sealing promotion, the Villains are being linked with a move for dynamic Nottingham Forest forward Joe Lolley. The 26-year-old Lolley grew up a Villa fan and would likely jump at the chance to run out for his boyhood club in the Premier League but won't come cheap at about £10 million.
With 11 goals and 11 assists for Forest, Lolley was one of only four players in the Championship to register double-digits in both goals and assists last season.
19.53 BST: The rumoured Kieran Trippier to Napoli move is reportedly off.
The Sun writes that the Italian club has pulled out of their pursuit for the 28-year-old Tottenham right-back.
A Napoli source told the Sun: "We will be pursuing a right back but will be going for a younger player, which is in line with the policy of the club."
Trippier has struggled this season following an impressive 2018 World Cup and was recently omitted from England's Nations League squad by Gareth Southgate.
19.11 BST: -- DONE DEAL: Norwich midfielder Marco Stiepermann has signed a new three-year contract with the Canaries.
The 28-year-old German was integral in Norwich's promotion campaign, scoring nine goals and adding eight assists in 43 league games. Stiepermann has become of manger and compatriot Daniel Farke's most trusted charges since joining in 2017 and now will test himself at the Premier League level.
18.23 BST: Man United are being urged to sign Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka by a couple of former legends.
Former United player Teddy Sheringham has urged his old teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to move for the Leicester and England centre-back.
"I think Harry Maguire is the one for me. He's got great leadership qualities, and has a real calming influence. He's very similar to Rio Ferdinand, in that he's cool on the ball and defends very well. That would be a fine start from my point of view," the Treble winner told BetStars, via the Manchester Evening News.
Meanwhile, ex-Red Devil and pundit Gary Neville has publicly backed his old club's pursuit of Crystal Palaces Wan-Bissaka.
"He's [Wan-Bissaka] a massive talent and the club, to be fair, have always signed young, emerging British talent," Neville told the Evening Standard.
"I don't think that should change and it would seem to me that the club would like to go back down that route and he is one."
Now we will see if United listen to their former players and move for the two English defenders.

Milan failed to qualify for the Champions League for the sixth straight season, narrowly missing out to rivals Inter on the final day of the season. Gattuso compiled a 40-22-20 record in his season plus as the manager of the Rossoneri but was doomed by Milan's Champions League failure.
There are major changes coming to Milan.
17.23 BST: West Ham youngster set for permanent move to Germany?
No, not Reece Oxford. Edimilson Fernandes is the player being linked with a move to Germany, with the Sun claiming the attacking midfielder is heading to Mainz for an £8 million fee. The 23-year-old has failed to score a Premier League goal for the Hammers in 42 games since arriving in 2016 and spent this past season on loan at Fiorentina.
16.58 BST: Fikayo Tomori has impressed in getting Derby into the Premier League but he's actually a Chelsea player! Yes, one of those on loan.
Asked by BBC Sport if he would consider a return next season, the England U21 defender said: "Of course."
But given the chances of him getting into the Chelsea first-team are slim, the only question is another loan or a permanent move?
16.09 BST: Daniele De Rossi could be set to join Boca Juniors, according to the club's sporting director Nicolas Burdisso.
De Rossi and Burdisso were teammates at Roma and now the 35-year-old midfielder has been released by the Serie A side, he is considering his options.
"The fact that many players want to come here fills me with pride, many important players are interested in playing in Boca Juniors, but desire is one thing, reality is something else. Daniele's situation is different," Burdisso told Fox Sports Argentina. "He is a friend and I talk to him every day. He has always shown his willingness to come here.
"I talked to him until a few days ago, then I left him alone because he had his farewell game. I told him we would like to have it with us and we'll talk again these days."

15.48 BST: EXCLUSIVE -- Hugo Lloris has praised Mauricio Pochettino for saving his Tottenham career ahead of the Champions League final against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Tottenham goalkeeper, 32, is now in his seventh season at the club after joining from Lyon in 2012 for €10 million, including €5m in bonuses. However, things could have been very different had Pochettino not replaced Tim Sherwood on the bench in 2014.
15.17 BST: Ernesto Valverde's future will be up for discussion at a meeting on Wednesday as Barcelona weigh up whether to keep their coach on following a disappointing end to the season, multiple sources have confirmed to ESPN FC.
Reports in Spain suggested Valverde would lose his job on Tuesday, but sources inside the club insist that is not the case. President Josep Maria Bartomeu will meet with various members of the club's hierarchy in a series of meetings over the coming days before making a definitive decision.
14.50 BST: Fabian Delph doesn't look like he has much of a future at Man City, with the England midfielder/full-back set to depart this summer.
Football Insider claim that West Ham are keen and, given they have former City boss Manuel Pellegrini at the helm, that's no shock. He would cost £15m.
14.18 BST: PSG full-back Thomas Meunier has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer but France Football report that he could be set to join up with former coach Unai Emery at Arsenal.
The Gunners need reinforcements and competition for Hector Bellerin, but the 27-year would cost around £26.5m and would only join if the club win the Europa League and thereby quality for the Champions League.

13.44 BST: PSG winger Julian Draxler recently got into a fight with Neymar -- though the club denied it -- and only one thing can happen after such an incident.
Yes, France Football report that he's available for £30m this summer. This will come as great news to the likes of Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan -- all clubs looking for pace down the flanks in the transfer window that won't break the bank.
13.14 BST: Barcelona have been looking for a backup to Jordi Alba at left-back and Wolfsburg's Jerome Roussillon is high on the list, say Mundo Deportivo.
Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are all reportedly watching the 26-year-old, but only one team can say "would you like to play alongside Lionel Messi?"
12.40 BST: Manchester United are trying hard to avoid another summer of bad decisions in the transfer market, so manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has set a transfer deadline to sell players, say the MEN.
But it's not this summer, it's NEXT summer he's thinking about! "Solskjaer has informed executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward of the players he wants to move on before the 2020-21 campaign," reports the paper.
Now that's some forward planning. Wonder if Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku will still be around by then?
12.10 BST: Leeds have kept their boss to have another crack at the Premier League next season.

12.07 BST: Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Napoli are ready to let Allan go for €60m. PSG are interested, and have been for months, but probably not at that price.
11.23 BST: Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been talking to Spanish radio station Onda Cero and says his club have not made an approach to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstars Kylian Mbappe or Neymar.
Perez also spoke about Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino and Liverpool counterpart Jurgen Klopp and, asked if he had ever made a move to sign either of them, he said: "No. But that doesn't mean that in the future we will not."
The future of James Rodriguez, who joined Bayern Munich on a two-year loan deal from Madrid in the summer 2017 with a €42m purchase option included in the deal, is also up in the air.
"No decision has been made yet," Perez said. "I only know what has been said, which is they [Bayern] don't intend to make a profit with him at Madrid's expense and I think that is the right thing."
While the Real president has not ruled out goalkeeper Keylor Navas remaining at the club. Navas was notified by Madrid that he will not be the first-choice next season and is reportedly seeking a move away from the Bernabeu. "He is under contract," Perez added. "I have not said goodbye to him because I don't know if he is going to leave. If he does leave, I will say goodbye."

Other options include Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman, Massimiliano Allegri (who is leaving Juventus this summer) and Arsenal boss Unai Emery -- so says Mundo Deportivo.
09.57 BST: Benfica star Pizzi has signed a new contract with the Portuguese champions through June 2023, the club announced.
Pizzi, 29, attracted the attention of numerous clubs in Europe after his best season since arriving at Benfica in 2014 -- where he scored 13 goals and set up a league-high 19 more to help Benfica secure the title.
"I'm extremely happy, " Pizzi told the club's website. "It's an enormous pleasure to be part of this club. This is a sign of a job well done and things have gone in the best possible way. I've been five years at Benfica's service. I feel like a reference player here. We have a young squad.. I feel like a reference for all of them because all together we managed to build this family. I'm very proud to continue to be a part of this family."
09.35 BST: Bild report that PSG remain keen on Borussia Dortmund's Julian Weigl and Raphael Guerreiro, while are also still suitors for Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng.
Yesterday, Bayern president Uli Hoeness told Boateng the defender's best option would be to leave the club. So there will be plenty of clubs interested.
09.11 BST: Staying with Cadena Ser, they also claim Atletico Madrid have set their sights on acquiring Leicester defender Ben Chilwell to strengthen their left flank.
The England international made 36 league appearances this season and is tied to the Premier League outfit through June 2024. Atletico need to strengthen their defensive line with Lucas Hernandez joining Bayern, Diego Godin having announced his departure and left-back Filipe Luis also expected to leave this summer once his contract expires.
08.40 BST: Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has accepted an offer to join Atletico Madrid this summer, according to Cadena Ser.
Atletico's French forward Antoine Griezmann has announced he will leave the club this summer, leaving the Rojiblancos in need of a reinforcement.
Cavani has one year left on his contract and the Uruguay captain is expected to leave PSG this summer. According to the Spanish radio station, before the deal can be completed, Atletico must first sell Diego Costa and then reach an agreement with PSG regarding Cavani's transfer.
Atletico tried to sign Cavani three years ago but failed. The 32-year-old scored 18 goals and set up six more in 21 league appearances for the French giants, where he overtook Zlatan Ibrahimovic as their all-time record goal scorer last year.
08.00 BST: Porto have announced an agreement to sell Brazil centre-back Felipe to Atletico Madrid for €20m. Felipe had two years left on his contract with the Portuguese giants and has attracted the attention of several European clubs.
An Porto club statement said: "FC Porto wants to announce it has reached an agreement to permanently transfer Felipe to Atletico Madrid for a €20m value fee."
The 30-year-old, who joined Porto from Corinthians in the summer of 2016, scored 11 goals in 142 appearances for the Dragao, winning a league title and a Portuguese Super Cup. Felipe is expected to sign a three-year contract with Atletico.

Arsenal ask after Donnarumma
Arsenal are going to be rebuilding this summer, with or without the place in the Champions League that would be ensured by winning the Europa League final on Wednesday.
If they do get into the Promised Land, then a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma would be more likely -- given that he failed to get there himself this season with AC Milan.
Donnarumma, 20, is one of the most sought-after young players in world football and has been linked to Man United, Juventus, Bayern, PSG and Real Madrid in recent seasons. However, Tuttomercatoweb now claim that the Gunners have made enquiries about him.
Petr Cech is set to retire this summer while No. 1 Bernd Leno hasn't impressed 100 percent since arriving from Leverkusen in 2018. Milan are under pressure to sell to comply with Financial Fair Play, so a cut-price deal could be struck at around £60m, which would be quite a statement of intent in the red side of London. Though it might also cost them their entire summer budget, unless they sell Mesut Ozil or others.
Madrid set to cash-in on stars
It promises to be a summer of dizzying transfer activity at the Bernabeu, with more comings and goings than a whole series of Love Island.
According to Marca, Los Blancos will be looking to flog at least €300 million of talent in the coming months. That will not only ensure that Madrid hit their Financial Fair Play commitments, it will also ensure that there's enough room for the players to sit down in the Bernabeu dressing room when La Liga resumes in August.
To hit that enormous figure, it's likely that Isco, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez will be off before the summer is out. That said, Isco could be harder to get out than a beetroot stain on a pair of summer chino shorts, with the Spaniard intent on staying despite Zinedine Zidane's desire to get him off the payroll.
Bale and Rodriguez aren't that keen on going either -- hardly surprising given the amount they're earning from the underperforming Spanish giant -- but Zidane will be doing all he can to make sure that they're playing elsewhere too. Probably passing the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy coming in as they leave.
United planning (Swan) dive into the transfer market
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is fired up for yet another summer of change at Old Trafford -- and The Guardian report that Swansea City's Daniel James could be among the first to arrive as he begins the club's now annual shifting of chairs during the summer months.
James was sensational for Swansea last season and has caught the eye of not just United but a host of top clubs. He also scored the winner for Wales against Slovakia in their Euro 2020 qualifier on his competitive international debut. United are in the process of revamping their recruitment process, and Solskjaer and his assistant, Mike Phelan, are playing a full role in ensuring that any new arrivals are a perfect fit for the club.
A philosophy that hasn't been entirely in evidence over recent seasons. Bridging the gap between themselves and the Premier League's current front-runners, though, will be easier said than done, no matter how many players arrive or leave.
The £1.2m question
Prizing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain could cost a world record breaking package -- and result in the Brazilian earning £1.2m a week. That's according to AS, with the paper claiming that anyone wanting to tempt Neymar to vacate the French capital will have to put their money where their mouth is. And then some.
Real Madrid are reportedly circling around Neymar amid rumours that he could be ready to leave PSG this summer -- but the kind of cash needed to see the Brazilian switch would be as ground-breaking and as mind-blowing as the £198m that took him to Paris in the first place.
Tap-ins
- Rafa Benitez has been endlessly patient since arriving at Newcastle in March 2016 -- and now that patience could be about to be repaid. Massively. The Sun report that Rafa could have a warchest to die for if the club's takeover by Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan goes ahead this summer. The paper claims that Benitez is the manager the prospective owner wants to take the club forward -- and that could leave the Spaniard feeling like a kid in a sweet shop if the takeover goes ahead.
- Frank Lampard, meanwhile, will hold talks with Derby County's owner over his future as coach following the club's playoff defeat to Aston Villa at Wembley. So say the Mirror, which reports that Lampard is "not interested" in reports linking him with a move to Chelsea.
