Marseille have confirmed the termination of Lassana Diarra's contract, although no reason was given by the club for the action.
Diarra, 31, has made 11 appearances in Ligue 1 this season with the last coming as a substitute during the 2-0 win against Guingamp on Feb. 8.

The former Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid midfielder arrived in Marseille in 2015 and has been linked with a move to the Chinese Super League.
A France international, Diarra missed Euro 2016 because of injury, and has previously said a €10 million fine he has been ordered to pay former club Lokomotiv Moscow will "shape my future."
