Goalkeeper Tom Starke has said is ready to come out of retirement to help Bayern Munich on their summer tour of China and Singapore.
Starke, 36, retired at the end of the season after winning 13 trophies with the Bundesliga champions and will become goalkeeping coordinator at their youth academy in August.
Bayern have a goalkeeping injury crisis ahead of the new season, with Manuel Neuer still recovering from a fractured toe and backup Sven Ulreich sidelined with an elbow injury.
Christian Fruchtl, 17, had been due to take over as Bayern's third goalkeeper following Starke's retirement.
But he has suffered torn ligaments, meaning Starke may be temporarily forced out of retirement.
"The club asked me if I would make myself available again because our three goalkeepers are all injured," Starke told kicker.
"Of course, I had to say yes. The club has given me so much, and now I can happily give something back."
Whether or not he is part of the preseason tour "depends on how the other three progress," he said.
Bayern face Arsenal in Shanghai on July 19 and AC Milan in Shenzhen three days later.
Carlo Ancelotti's side then play Premier League winners Chelsea in the International Champions Cup in Singapore on July 25, concluding their tour against Inter Milan.
Starke joined Bayern from Hoffenheim in 2012 and has also played for Duisburg, Paderborn and Hamburg.
