Vincent Enyeama drops hint on LOSC Lille future

Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has shared photographs of his return to preseason training at LOSC Lille, appearing to suggest that he's intending to remain with the Ligue 1 side.

Despite having been the club's first-choice stopper for four seasons, the Super Eagles guardsman was axed from the team last term.

He didn't play a single minute of Ligue 1 football - contrasted with 2855 the year before - with coach Christophe Galtier telling journalists that a disagreement between the player and the club's management was behind his inactivity.

The 35-year-old had been tipped for the Lille exit door this summer, with Racing Club de Strasbourg just one club reportedly interested in his signature, according to L'Equipe [via Foot National].

However, writing on his @vinpee Twitter handle on Monday, the 2013 African Cup of Nations winner appeared to hint that his future remains with Lille.

"First training session of the new season 2018/19," Enyeama posted. "Same place, same passion."

Last season, Lille had the joint-third worst defensive record in Ligue 1, conceding 67 goals in 38 fixtures.

As recently as the 2015-16 season, with Enyeama between the sticks, Lille had the second best defensive record in the division - behind only Paris Saint-Germain, having conceded 27 goals all season.
