The Seattle Sounders have parted ways with Norwegian midfielder Magnus Wolff Eikrem after just six months in MLS.
Wolff Eikrem joined Seattle in January from Malmo in Sweden and made 17 appearances, scoring twice, including a winner against D.C. United last month.
The move will free up an international roster spot for the Sounders, with the club recently linked to 23-year-old Argentinian forward Nicolas Stefanell and Dutch left-back Miquel Nelom.
Eikrem spent the past three seasons with Malmo in Sweden's top division, winning league titles in the last seasons. Eikrem also played for the Netherlands' Heerenveen and played parts of two seasons for Cardiff.
Eikrem has 17 appearances for the Norway national team, including six in 2014 World Cup qualifying.
