New York Mets left-handed starter Jason Vargas is set to return from the injured list Saturday after missing nearly three weeks with a hamstring injury.
Vargas has been named the starter for Saturday's game against the Detroit Tigers.
Vargas, who is 1-2 with a 5.92 ERA in 24 1/3 innings pitched this season, left a start against the Milwaukee Brewers on May 5 after four innings because of mild hamstring tightness and went on the IL the next day.
