Former UFC champion Jon Jones received three traffic citations on Jan. 31 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but the district attorney has decided not to file for violation of probation that he received in September.
Jones, 28, was cited for driving without a license, registration or proof of insurance. According to court documents, he is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
In September, Jones was placed on supervised probation for up to 18 months after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident. The plea agreement allowed Jones to avoid jail time after he fled the scene of an accident in April that left a pregnant woman injured. Kayla Anderson, the public information officer for the New Mexico district attorney's office, told ESPN on Monday that the violations will not result in a probation violation.
As part of his conditional discharge, the state declined to specify driving without a valid license and insurance as a condition of probation; however, Jones is expected to obey all laws while on probation.
Jones appears clear to fight in the scheduled title fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 197 on April 23.
Jones was stripped of the UFC's light heavyweight championship in April following his arrest. He holds the record for consecutive 205-pound title defenses with eight.
