UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo has taken another hit.
Eryk Anders is stepping in on six days' notice to fight Thiago Santos in the main event of Saturday night's card in Brazil, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN.
Anders accepted the assignment on Sunday after Jimi Manuwa withdrew from the headliner after he tore his hamstring shortly after arriving in Brazil.
Manuwa went for a run after landing and doctors in Brazil told him it's a severe tear, which is more than 50 percent. He's looking at six-week recovery.
The new bout, which features two fighters who recently competed at middleweight, will take place at light heavyweight.
MMAJunkie.com first reported the news.
This marks the third change to the Saturday card. The original main event was Glover Teixeira vs. Manuwa, then Santos replaced the injured Teixeira, and now Anders will be replacing the injured Manuwa.
Anders (11-1) is getting right back to work after scoring a picturesque third-round knockout of Tim Williams on Aug. 25, while Santos (18-6) most recently defeated Kevin Holland via unanimous decision at UFC 227 on Aug. 4.
Saturday's event will take place at the Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo.
