The UFC has found Brok Weaver's replacement for the UFC Fight Night Tampa card on Saturday.
Mike Davis has agreed to step in on short notice to fight Thomas Gifford, sources told ESPN on Tuesday. The fight will be contested at 155 pounds, and the card will proceed with 14 fights.
Weaver's team declined multiple requests to comment on why he was pulled from the card late last week. However, he tweeted Monday that he was "not hurt, not sick, [and] not on roids."
Added Weaver: "I'm not injured either. This is above my head. I'm on weight, ready to scrap right now but the UFC [won't] let me fight."
Davis (7-2), who turned 27 on Monday, is coming off a loss to Gilbert Burns in April. He accepted the fight vs. Gifford on Monday.
Gifford (17-8) saw his five-fight win streak snapped in his UFC debut against Roosevelt Roberts in April.
Both fighters will be competing for their first UFC victory.
The event, which will take place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, will be headlined by Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Michelle Waterson.
