A former Invicta FC champion has agreed to make her UFC debut on less than a week's notice on Saturday at UFC Fight Night.
Jinh Yu Frey, the former Invicta atomweight champion, will meet Kay Hansen this weekend in both fighters' UFC debut. Both Frey and Hansen announced the news on social media.
Frey (9-4) was stripped of the 105-pound title, which she won in July 2018, in February after she failed to make weight before her title fight against Ashley Cummins.
She won the fight, her final Invicta FC bout, via unanimous decision. She'll be fighting in the UFC's 115-pound strawweight division.
Hansen (6-3) has won her past two fights. The 20-year-old is considered a name to watch in women's MMA. She is the youngest woman on the roster and the second-youngest overall, behind only Chase Hooper.
Saturday's event, headlined by Dustin Poirier vs. Dan Hooker, will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
