Conor McGregor returns to the Octagon after a yearlong absence on Saturday, taking on Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 257 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The lightweight fight, which could produce the next challenger for the championship, takes place at new Etihad Arena on the city's Yas Island, which the UFC has dubbed Fight Island.

The main card starts at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view, which fans can purchase here. Prelims are on ESPN and ESPN+ starting at 8 p.m., with early prelims on ESPN+ at 7 p.m.

The fight is a rematch of a 2014 meeting at featherweight, which McGregor won via first-round TKO. McGregor went on to become the first fighter to reign as champion in two UFC divisions simultaneously, while Poirier has gone on to be a top challenger in the 155-pound division.

Poirier (26-6, 1 NC) has suffered only one defeat in his last eight fights, that being a 2019 submission loss to champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Poirier is No. 3 in the division in ESPN's rankings, and McGregor is ranked 10th.

McGregor (22-4) has won three of his past four, the loss also coming in an unsuccessful challenge of Nurmagomedov.

The co-main event is also a meeting of ranked 155-pounders: Dan Hooker, No. 6 in the ESPN rankings, against former Bellator champ Michael Chandler, who is No. 7 and making his UFC debut.
