The UFC is keeping it in the family later this month. Again.
Justin Tafa will replace his brother Junior in a heavyweight fight against Karl Williams at UFC Fight Night on March 23 in Las Vegas, promotion officials confirmed Monday with ESPN.
The Tafa-for-Tafa swap was necessary because of a previous Tafa-for-Tafa swap last month. Justin was supposed to face Marcos Rogerio de Lima at UFC 298 on Feb. 17, but Justin injured his leg training for the bout during fight week. One day before the fight, Justin withdrew and Junior replaced him against Rogerio de Lima, who won via second-round TKO.
With Junior, 27, having taken that fight against Rogerio de Lima and currently out of action, Justin, 30, will now take Junior's place against Williams, 34.
Justin Tafa (7-3), a New Zealander fighting out of Australia, is unbeaten in four straight fights. Williams (9-1), a Virgin Islands-born athlete fighting out of Atlanta, has won seven straight including winning his first two fights in the UFC.
