Bucks' Jabari Parker out of starting lineup for breaking team rule

MIAMI -- Bucks forward Jabari Parker was held out of the starting lineup Saturday in Milwaukee's 109-97 loss to the Miami Heat for violating a team rule.

Parker, who wasn't part of the Bucks' starters for the first time this season, came off the bench in the second quarter. He finished with 16 points and seven rebounds in 32 minutes.

Coach Jason Kidd declined to discuss the violation, which came after the Bucks held a long players-only meeting following a loss Friday at Orlando. The meeting got heated at times, and Parker said he wasn't well received when he expressed his point of view.

Rookie Thon Maker replaced Parker, making his first career start and scoring six points for the Bucks.

All-Star starter Giannis Antetokounmpo had 24 points and 10 rebounds for Milwaukee.

Dion Waiters tied a career high with 33 points for the Heat, who won a season-best third game in a row.
