Dante Exum taken to hospital for MRI after injuring left shoulder

Utah Jazz point guard Dante Exum left in the first quarter of Utah's 112-101 preseason win over the Phoenix Suns with a left shoulder injury.

Exum, who fell to the ground hard after a shot, was taken to a hospital after Friday's home game for MRI tests to determine the extent of the injury.

Jazz coach Quin Snyder said after the game, "If you saw his shoulder, it didn't look good."

Exum, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2014 draft, averaged 6.2 points per game last season.
