Utah Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio is suffering from soreness in his right Achilles and will not play against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night, the team announced.
The team did not say whether Rubio would return for for Saturday's game at Orlando.
Rubio is averaging 13.6 points and a team-high 5.5 assists per game this season.
Donovan Mitchell is expected to take on a larger role in Rubio's absence, with Raul Neto possibly seeing an uptick in playing time.
