As the first full month of the season came to a close, players around the league once again wore a variety of impressive sneakers both new and old.
Wizards forward Markieff Morris stuck with his rotation of classic Foamposites, wearing Penny Hardaway's most iconic colorway. Bulls forward Lauri Markkanen again wore a beloved vintage LeBron James sneaker, this time the "Phantom" Air Max LeBron 7. As expected, PJ Tucker broke out rare Air, wearing a black pair of the "OVO" Air Jordan Retro 10, a collaboration with rapper Drake, along with a gleaming, red pair of the Air Jordan 11 that doesn't release until next week.
While Nike has been dominating on the hardwood for most of the season, Adidas players had their strongest week yet. Hawks swingman Taurean Prince broke out an original white pair of Tracy McGrady's Adidas TMac 2, while Nick Young wore Kobe Bryant's very first Adidas signature shoe, the Crazy 8, for his return to the Staples Center.
Kristaps Porzingis has been wearing custom editions of the newest Adidas Crazy Explosive all season, and he debuted perhaps his greatest version yet, a pair highlighted by a unicorn graphic along the outsole.
