Free-agent guard Brad Wanamaker has agreed to a one-year, $2.25 million deal to join the Golden State Warriors, his agent, Steve McCaskill, told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Wanamaker played a productive role with the Boston Celtics and now is expected to see some significant minutes as Stephen Curry's backup.
Wanamaker, 31, made his NBA debut in 2018-19 with Boston. He expressed gratitude to the team in a tweet Saturday night.
Appreciate you Boston! Signed my first and second lol NBA contracts with a great organization. Loved hooping with all my teammates and coaches I came across my two season there, wish you guys all the best going forward and I'll always be grateful for my time there. 💚
