After two full seasons away from the NBA, Ray Allen announced his retirement from professional basketball on Tuesday. Allen retires as the player with the most made 3-pointers in NBA history. He famously hit the clutch 3-pointer in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals to send the game into overtime as the Miami Heat faced elimination in their pursuit of a second consecutive NBA championship.
But is he the player you'd want to shoot a 3 with the game on the line? Weigh in on our poll below, where Allen goes head to head with some of the league's other great shooters.
Reggie Miller is the player Allen passed for most career 3-pointers, and Miller had plenty of clutch moments himself. Larry Bird was the one of the league's first 3-point marksmen and won the first three All-Star 3-point contests. Stephen Curry has redefined what a 3-point shooter can be, and he's on track to break Allen's record.
