Mitlon Doyle hits eight threes on the way to 32 points to lead the JackJumpers to a win over the Bullets and keep their title defence hopes alive. (1:17)

Career-best three-point shooting from import Milton Doyle has inspired Tasmania to a nail-biting come-from-behind 95-92 win over Brisbane in the NBL.

After a week in which online abuse levelled at JackJumpers' players and their families made headlines, Doyle nailed eight threes at Hobart's MyState Bank Arena on Friday night.

Four of his three pointers came in the final quarter, with the most crucial arriving with 38 seconds on the clock to give Tasmania a four-point lead.

Doyle, who has been inconsistent this season, top-scored with 32 points and claimed seven rebounds as the JackJumpers went back-to-back for the first time in 2024/25.

It came after he scored just three points in his side's win over the high-flying New Zealand Breakers.

Defending champions Tasmania (5-8) have jumped up one spot on the ladder to eighth, leaving the Bullets (3-6) second last.

Brisbane came flying out of the blocks, opening up a 17-3 lead inside the first three minutes - shooting at 63 per cent for the first quarter.

But turnovers and wayward shooting allowed Tasmania to claw back momentum, with the home side hitting the lead midway through the third quarter off a Will Magnay dunk.

The JackJumpers took a 68-60 lead into a final quarter in which both outfits traded three pointers.

Brisbane's American guard Keandre Cook (23 points) kept his team in the contest with several clutch shots in the final few minutes, while 23-year-old Josh Bannan was also strong (15 points and nine rebounds).
