INDIANAPOLIS -- Running back Ahmad Bradshaw's season with the Indianapolis Colts has been cut short because of an injury for the third straight year.
The Colts placed the running back on injured reserve on Monday. Bradshaw suffered a wrist injury in Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Indianapolis announced it re-signed running back Zurlon Tipton to take Bradshaw's spot on the roster.
Bradshaw's 2013 season with the Colts ended when he injured his neck in Week 3. He broke his leg against New England in Week 11 in 2014.
Indianapolis signed Bradshaw to back up starter Frank Gore on Oct. 14. Bradshaw's season ends with him rushing for 85 yards and having three touchdowns on three receptions.
Daniel "Boom" Herron, whom the Colts re-signed last week, will become Gore's backup.
