The Buffalo Bills continued a busy week Thursday by signing offensive tackle La'el Collins to a one-year contract, his agent, Peter Schaffer, told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Collins adds significant tackle experience, mostly at right tackle, to an offensive line room behind starters left tackle Dion Dawkins and right tackle Spencer Brown. Collins also has experience at left guard. Dawkins was signed to a three-year extension last month, while Brown is entering the final year of his rookie deal.
Brown is coming off the best season of his career, starting 17 games for the Bills last season as part of an offensive line that started every game last year with the same five players.
Collins, 30, has played in 89 games and started 86 with the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals. He last started 15 games for the Bengals in 2022. He tore ligaments in his left knee in December 2022 and then was released by Cincinnati in September. He didn't appear in a regular-season game last season and was last with the Cowboys practice squad.
