Bears-Texans kicks off TV preseason slate Aug. 1

The NFL announced television networks and kickoff times for its 2024 slate of preseason games Friday.

Five preseason games will be televised nationally, beginning with quarterback Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears playing the Houston Texans on Aug. 1 in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio (8 p.m. ET, ESPN/ABC).

The second week of the preseason features the Saints and 49ers on Sunday, Aug. 18 (8 p.m. ET, Fox) followed by three national windows in Week 3: Colts-Bengals on Aug. 22 (8 p.m. ET, Prime Video) followed by Cardinals-Broncos (4:30 p.m. ET, CBS) and Patriots-Commanders (8 p.m. ET, NBC) on Aug. 25.

Preseason games run Aug. 1-25 before the regular season opens with a rematch of the AFC Championship Game between the Ravens and Chiefs on Thursday, Sept. 5.
