RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Carolina Hurricanes put all their Staals in their starting lineup.
The Hurricanes had brothers Eric, Jordan and Jared Staal on the line that started the game Thursday night against the New York Rangers.
Jared Staal was called up from Charlotte of the AHL on Wednesday, and coach Kirk Muller said he probably would skate on Jordan's line.
But Muller pulled a game-time surprise by putting all three on the starting line.
STATS says it's the 10th time in the history of the four major North American pro sports leagues that three brothers have played for the same team during the same season. It hasn't happened since the Stastnys (Peter, Anton and Marian) all played for the Quebec Nordiques in 1985.
