Sharda Ugra and Zenia D'Cunha look back at Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh's bronze in the 10m pistol mixed team event (6:22)

Manu Bhaker has won her second bronze medal of this Games as she combined with Sarabjot Singh to win bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team. They beat South Korea's Oh Ye Jin and Lee Wonho. Oh had won the individual women's 10m air pistol gold and proved to be tough competition but Bhaker-Sarabjot held their nerve to win the match.

Manu Bhaker created history in the process, becoming the first athlete to win multiple medals at an Olympic Games for independent India.

Here's how she and Sarabjot combined to make history:

In the first series, Bhaker hit a 10.2 but Sarabjot's 8.6 meant India lose the first set 18.8-20.5.

In the second, Bhaker upped her game to 10.7 before Sarabjot followed suite with a 10.2. That combined with Oh's 9.9 meant India took the second 21.2 - 19.9

Then the Indians kept a remarkable consistency. In the third, Bhaker hit 10.4, a score matched by Sarabjot. With Lee hitting 9.1, the Indians took the set comfortably 20.8 - 19.8.

Bhaker's 10.7 and Sarabjot's 10.0 saw India hit 20.7 which saw them win the set 20.7-20.5

In the next, Bhaker then hit a remarkable 10.5 that saw India take the set 20.1-19.5 despite Sarabjot's 9.6

Oh Ye Jin then took it as a personal affront and shot a ridiculous 10.8 that carried South Korea to 20.7 and that was good enough to take the set 20.6-20.2. At this point, India had a 8-4.

A quick interchange of sets then happened: India won 20.0 - 19.7 before the first blip from Bhaker saw South Korea take the set 20.7 - 18.5. A 10-6 lead and the Indians were still in control.

Bhaker-Sarabjot then rolled off two excellent sets, hitting 20.5 and 20.8 vs South Korea's 20.4 and 19.4 to make it 14-6 but Oh once again pulled the team up by the bootstraps hitting two 10.8s to win the next two series 19.8-19.3 and 21.0-20.8 and make it 14-8

With the nerves mounting, India took a timeout and returned from it to hit 19.6, which was good enough to beat Korea's 18.5 and that was that, as they took the match 16-10.
