All Blacks' and Blues centre Sonny Bill Williams is in a fitness race to be fit for the first of New Zealand's summer tests against France in June as a fractured wrist will see him spend an extended period on the sidelines.
The Blues confirmed he will be out of action for which will see him miss Super Rugby games against the Sharks, Chiefs Sunwolves Highlanders Jaguares and Waratahs.
He will then be touch and go for games against the Hurricanes and Crusaders before Steve Hansen's side begin their three-Test series test against France June 9 in Eden Park.
Williams took to social media with his daughter on Saturday with his left wrist and arm in a cast.

The centre has been dogged by injuries in recent years, with knee, ankle and achilles tendon problems causing him to miss large stints since 2016.
