Washington guard Kelsey Plum added to the record books yet again Monday night, surpassing the NCAA mark for most points in a single season.
Plum needed 21 points to break Jackie Stiles' record of 1,062 points and finished with 38 in No. 3 seed Washington's 108-82 win over No. 6 seed Oklahoma, as the Huskies reached the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament.
Plum now has 1,080 points this season.
"What I'm going to remember from this night was the win, the feeling with my teammates. That's it," she said. "That's not disrespect to the individual record. It's really not. It's just not something I pay attention to."
She also had a career-high 11 assists to record her first career double-double in her 138th game.
"There was no way I was losing this last game on my home court," she said.
Plum overtook Stiles for the NCAA all-time scoring record in February.
On Monday night, she knocked down a 3 to pull even with Stiles for the most points in a single season. She then scored on a driving layup for her 1,063rd and 1,064th points and sole possession of the record.
