As the Broncos prepare for an onslaught of sales of Tim Tebow jerseys at their team store, the quarterback has already broken the rookie record for jersey sales.

Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez set the record last year, but Tebow sales have shattered Sanchez’s totals. No player in the NFL has sold more jerseys during the draft weekend.

Tebow will wear No. 15 in Denver. That was his number at Florida when he became one of the most popular college players of all time.

Questions remain whether Tebow was a good pick for the Broncos, but he has already captured the imagination of Denver fans.
