USC running back Marc Tyler confirmed Tuesday he is awaiting potential discipline from the school after two alleged recent off-campus incidents involving alcohol and female students.
Tyler, a redshirt senior, met with the university’s Office of Student Judicial Affairs last month and expects to hear the final word back on his punishment within the next two to three weeks.
“The worst-case scenario is them kicking me out of school,” Tyler, 22, said Tuesday after a players-only workout on the USC practice field. “The best is nothing happening, just me having to do some classes in the fall, probably.”
Regardless of the school’s decision, Tyler said, he did not expect any further football-specific punishment from coach Lane Kiffin or athletic director Pat Haden. He said he has been in constant contact with a number of football coaches, including associate head coach John Baxter, who accompanied him to one of his judicial affairs meetings.
