Tom 'Anchorman' Brady revives 2016 video to welcome Gronk

Tom Brady dusted off his old "Anchorman" humor in a Twitter post to welcome Rob Gronkowski back to the NFL.

It all traces back to the spring of 2016, when Brady posted a video on Facebook in which he was calling his Patriots pass-catchers to work with him in unique fashion. The video was a takeoff from the Ron Burgundy character in the 2004 movie “Anchorman.”

Burgundy, played by Will Ferrell, was a newscaster with a unique style. At one point in the movie, he blew into a large seashell and called out “News team assemble!” to his colleagues.

So after Brady sent out his initial video, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola answered the call in their own humorous fashion. Followed by Gronkowski on Instagram.

It was all in good fun.

Four years later, it was time to bring the video back again with Gronkowski's return to the NFL.
