Ohio State added to its top-ranked recruiting class Monday by landing ESPN 300 wide receivers Trevon Grimes and Tyjon Lindsey.
The commitments give the Buckeyes a total of 16 ESPN 300 commitments, the most of any program in the 2017 class.
Alabama has the second-most ESPN 300 commits with 13, followed by LSU with 12, but Ohio State is running away from the field by adding Grimes and Lindsey.
Grimes is the No. 27-ranked prospect overall and gives coach Urban Meyer four ESPN 300 prospects from Florida in this class. Lindsey is ranked No. 76 overall and will be reuniting with high school teammates Tate Martell and Haskell Garrett, who previously committed to Ohio State.
If the class holds up as it is and the Buckeyes can land a few more ESPN 300 prospects, Meyer has a chance to land the most ESPN 300 commitments since joining Ohio State prior to the 2012 season. The 2013 class had 17 commitments ranked in the top 300.
Grimes and Lindsey give Ohio State 18 total commitments and add to the No. 1-ranked recruiting class in the country.
