Crimson Tide's LaBryan Ray facing public intoxication charge

Alabama defensive lineman LaBryan Ray was arrested Friday on a charge of public intoxication, according to Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office records.

Tuscaloosa Police spokeswoman Lt. Teena Richardson said Ray was arrested at about 7 p.m. Friday after refusing to leave an establishment at Midtown Village. Security detained him until police arrived. Ray's bond was set at $500.

"We will evaluate what we need to do in terms of appropriate discipline and rehabilitation as we move forward," Alabama coach Nick Saban said in a statement.

Ray, a sophomore, played in all 15 games for the Crimson Tide last season, posting 39 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
