Florida State blocks LSU's game-tying extra point attempt to win (0:41)

LSU scores as time expires, but blocked extra point attempt seals win for Florida State. (0:41)

What a way to cap off Week 1 of the 2022 college football season.

The Florida State Seminoles just barely eked out a win against the LSU Tigers on Sunday night, with what might be the most memorable ending of this young season. FSU looked to have the game well in hand after a DJ Lundy 1-yard touchdown run with 9:04 remaining in the fourth quarter made it 24-10 Noles. LSU wasn't even close to finished, however, as Jayden Daniels led LSU 75 yards for a touchdown to make it 24-17, and the Tigers' defense forced the Seminoles to punt.

FSU's special teams came up clutch, however, forcing a fumble on the punt return and driving to LSU's 1-yard line to potentially put the game away. The Tigers made a valiant last stand, forcing Treshaun Ward to fumble at the goal line.

That's when Daniels took over again, leading LSU 99 yards in 11 plays, including a 24-yard run, and throwing a touchdown pass to Jaray Jenkins with one second remaining on the clock. It looked like things were about to head into overtime.

Then, disaster struck the Tigers. After already blocking one field goal earlier in the game, the Seminoles managed to block the extra point to seal the win.

Unsurprisingly, the game spawned a great deal of reaction from athletes on social media.
