Vin Scully, everyone's favorite baseball play-by-play announcer, had a doozy of a day Thursday. Here's what happened to him while he was out shopping with his wife Sandi:
While Christmas shopping today, Vin Scully lost his 1988 World Series ring. If you find it, please contact the Dodgers at (323) 224-1500.

Fortunately for Scully, the fact that he has an enormous reservoir of good karma meant that the ring was quickly found:
Great news! Vin Scully's 1988 World Series ring has been found. (This was not a drill -- Vin thanks everyone for their concern.)

So, where was it? Bill Plaschke of the Los Angeles Times has the scoop: A bag of Costco ribs.
"Sure enough, while Vin was unloading the stacks of items, he heard a cry from inside the house. While emptying the ribs, Sandi found the ring at the bottom of the bag."
We're glad that all worked out. As for the ribs, Scully reportedly plans to eat them.
