Valtteri Bottas has denied the "funny stories" stating he has signed a pre-agreement to join Ferrari in 2016 or 2017 but also admitted he is yet to agree an extension at Williams beyond the current season.

This week Ferrari boss Maurizio Arrivabene refused to rule out the possibility of signing Bottas, with Kimi Raikkonen's future at Maranello uncertain beyond 2015. Rumours in Italy suggest the Williams driver has signed a pre-agreement to move to the Italian outfit in 2016 or 2017.

When asked if the news was true in Spain, Bottas replied simply: "No."

He added: "I saw and heard plenty of stories and it's sometimes quite funny to hear those, because you know what's the case and what's not and there's a lot of people making up stuff. The fact is at the moment I'm focusing on this season, getting the maximum for us as a team and then the rest, I don't know yet."

It was then suggested driving for Ferrari must be irresistible for any driver, to which Bottas just shrugged and laughed, before saying: "I'm just thinking about getting the best out of this season and that's for my management to think about. I'm sure they have some sort of plan for the years ahead."

Focus then shifted to Bottas' future at Williams, where he is under contract until the end of 2015, but the Finn revealed he has no extension in place with his current team.

"I don't have anything for next year. That's what my management is doing. Maybe there are some things they don't tell me so maybe ask them! If they have something sorted they will speak with me. At the moment they haven't spoken to me, we're not at that point yet."
