Kimi Raikkonen says Ferrari can improve its one-lap pace ahead of qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, but is not convinced it will be able to challenge Mercedes this weekend.
Raikkonen finished second practice seventh fastest, but he is confident he can set a quicker lap on the super-soft tyres when it matters on Saturday.
"I think it was a normal Friday," he said. "Things could have been a bit better on a single lap, but overall it was not too bad. We have some difficulties with the super-soft tyre in the long runs, but it was OK. Everything is working."
Raikkonen said he had been impressed by the pace of some of the other cars.
"The Mercedes seem to be very fast and other teams are very quick too. We try to do the best we can and hopefully we'll be somewhere up there in qualifying."
