Pirelli has confirmed it will bring the medium, soft and super-soft tyres to the U.S. Grand Prix in October.
As per the tyre regulations, three compounds are now available for a race weekend. The teams pick 10 of the 13 sets available, with Pirelli setting aside three compounds for use during the weekend.
For Austin the super-soft tyre will be set aside for Q3, with one set each of the soft and medium tyre labelled as the mandatory race sets. This means one of either must be used at some point during the grand prix.
The teams will have one week from today to confirm their tyre sets to Pirelli as selections must be made 14 weeks before a flyaway race.
