MONZA, Italy -- Sauber has announced the appointment of Nicolas Hennel de Beaupreau as head of aerodynamics.
The Frenchman, who previously worked at Lotus in the same role, joined the team at the start of September. It continues the team's recruitment drive following its takeover by Longbow Finance last month, with Xevi Pujolar recently joining as head of track engineering.
The appointment of Hennel de Beaupreau means Mariano Alperin-Bruvera and Seamus Mullarkey, who have been splitting the position on an interim basis, will return to their previous roles. They had been combining the job since the departure of Mark Smith earlier this year.
