Nico Rosberg celebrates title success at F1 afterparty

Nico Rosberg celebrated his 2016 title success with friends and fellow drivers on Sunday night at what appeared to be the ultimate Abu Dhabi Grand Prix afterparty.

Rosberg was pictured on social media posing for photos with an entourage of close friends, including on-track rivals Daniel Ricciardo and Romain Grosjean. The newly-crowned champion also indulged in a rendition of Queen's 'We are the Champions', accompanied by his wife Vivian.

According to Amber Lounge party organisers, Rosberg was joined by Ricciardo, Grosjean Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen, Valtteri Bottas, Nico Hulkenberg, Felipe Massa, Carlo Sainz, Jenson Button, Kevin Magnussen, Felipe Nasr, Pascal Werhlein, Marcus Ericsson and Esteban Ocon in celebrating the final race of the season. A separate video on social media showed Button -- who took part in what is likely to be his last grand prix on Sunday -- showing off his skills on a set of bongo drums.

There was no rest for Rosberg the following day, however, as he boarded a plane to Malaysia to make a sponsor appearance alongside team boss Toto Wolff. On Friday he will travel to Vienna for more press appearances, before being officially crowned champion at the FIA Prize Giving Gala that evening.
