Former Crystal Palace midfielder Andre Moritz, who previously plied his trade in six different countries, has made Singapore his latest port of call after signing for Hougang United.
Hougang confirmed the transfer of the Brazilian on Thursday afternoon, and his arrival will come as a huge boost to a side who are fast emerging as a force in the Singapore Premier League.

Although not one of the competition's traditional heavyweights having never finished higher than 6th in eight previous seasons before 2019, the Cheetahs have now achieved a couple of third-place finishes in the past three campaigns.
It does however remain to be seen how Hougang accommodate their current quintet of foreign signings, given Moritz joins fellow Brazilians Pedro Bortoluzo and Artur Jesus Vieira, Croatian forward Kristijan Krajcek and Japanese utility Kaishu Yamazaki.
Under SPL regulations, clubs can only field three unrestricted import players and one hailing from an Asian Football Confederation (AFC) nation, with the latter slot filled by Yamazaki.
Interestingly enough, Moritz had already been in Singapore even before signing for Hougang, which he previously revealed was due to his wife doing her MBA in the Southeast Asian nation in an interview with Palace's official website.
Moritz was part of the Palace side that won promotion to the Premier League via the Championship playoffs in 2012-13 and also featured for Bolton Wanderers, although he has spent a significant part of his career in Turkey playing for four different teams.
Now 35, Moritz also has experience in Asia with India's Mumbai City, where he played alongside Nicolas Anelka and Freddie Ljungberg, South Korean outfit Pohang Steelers and Buriram United of Thailand.
Following last season's third-place finish in the SPL, Hougang will feature on the continental stage for only the second time in their history this term in the AFC Cup, Asian football's second-tier club competition.
