FREIENBACH, Switzerland -- Switzerland defender Philippe Senderos has suffered a calf muscle injury in training and returned to his club Aston Villa for treatment.
Senderos is the third Swiss defender to withdraw ahead of Saturday's European Championship qualifier against Lithuania.
Fabian Lustenberger and Silvan Widmer were injured playing for their clubs Hertha Berlin and Udinese, respectively, last weekend.
Switzerland coach Vladimir Petkovic called in Michael Lang of Grasshoppers as a replacement.
