Augsburg have completed the signing of left-back Philipp Max from Karlsruher SC, paving the way for Chelsea target Baba Rahman's exit.
Max, 21, moves to the Bundesliga side on a two-year contract, with an option to extend the agreement, after agreeing a fee reported to be in the region of €3.6 million.

Augsburg director of sport Stefan Reuter told the club's official website: "We are pleased that we could sign a young and talented German player in Philipp Max, who developed very well last season at KSC.
"We are convinced that he can continue this development with us and that he will make the next step."
Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl has said he wants current left-back Rahman's future to be resolved sooner rather than later, with sources having previously told ESPN FC that Chelsea are confident of securing the Ghana international.
Sportschau has suggested that Rahman is set to seal the move to Stamford Bridge in the near future.
