1. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
Chelsea's defence in 2015-16 may be shambolic, but Aguero was clinical in tearing the outgoing Premier League champions' backline to pieces. His hat trick at Stamford Bridge in Saturday's 3-0 win marks five goals for the Argentine in the five matches since teammate and emerging creator-in-chief at Manchester City Kevin De Bruyne returned from injury on April 2.
2. Paul Pogba (Juventus)
The Frenchman was man of the match in Sunday's 4-0 win over relegation candidates Palermo. His passing was decisive and decision-making spot on, demonstrating the sort of maturation that can carry a club to glory. His goal and an assist at the J Stadium ensured Pogba's name hasn't been left off the scoresheet since March.
3. Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
Real Madrid dismantled Getafe 5-1 on Saturday, with Benzema scoring one goal and turning creator for another two. His strike brings his La Liga tally to 22 on the season, the most he's scored in the league since the Frenchman joined Los Blancos in 2009. France may well miss the talisman's goals at this summer's European Championship.
4. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saint-Germain)
After being held scoreless as PSG crashed out of the Champions League on Tuesday, Ibrahimovic resumed normal service on Saturday, registering a brace and a pair of assists in the 6-0 win over Caen on Saturday. In his past four Ligue 1 appearances, the big Swede has accumulated a remarkable nine goals and three assists.
5. Diego Alves (Valencia)
Lionel Messi scored his 500th career goal on Sunday, but that was the only ball Alves had to pick out of his net as he backstopped Valencia to a 2-1 win over free-falling Barcelona. His six saves saw Los Che climb ever nearer midtable while eliminating Barca's points cushion over Atletico Madrid, who now only trail the league leaders on goal difference.
6. Marco Borriello (Atalanta)
In just 50 minutes of work in Sunday's 3-3 draw with Roma, the Atalanta forward had himself two goals and an assist. That hour was more fruitful than all of 2016 for the 33-year-old, whose name last appeared on the scoresheet in December. It's a pity, though, that Borriello missed a glorious chance for a hat trick that would've earned his side another two points.
7. Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)
Lewandowski scored his first goals since March 19 in Bayern's 3-0 victory over Schalke on Saturday. Goals number 26 and 27 extend the Pole's goal-scoring lead over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to four, and if Bayern are to win manager Pep Guardiola the Champions League trophy before he leaves Bavaria, the club will need Lewandowski scoring regularly.
8. Fernando Torres (Atletico Madrid)
Atletico strolled past Granada 3-0 on Sunday, with Torres scoring one and setting up another. The two-time European champion and World Cup winner with Spain has four goals and two assists in his past four appearances, coinciding with the capital club reeling in Barcelona, who now lead Atleti in the La Liga by just goal difference.
9. Koke (Atletico Madrid)
Koke matched Atleti's No. 9 at the weekend, notching a goal and an assist of his own at the Vicente Calderon. His helper ensures the Spaniard remains on top of La Liga's assist chart, and his uptick in form this spring should delight Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque ahead of this summer's European Championship.
10. Sofiane Boufal (Lille)
Boufal's first goal of his hat trick in Lille's 4-2 win over Ajaccio on Saturday came via a spectacular acrobatic volley on 19 minutes, before scoring twice more in the final quarter of an hour to put the game out of reach for the hosts.
