Udinese forward Antonio Di Natale says he will make a decision over his future in the summer as he looks forward to facing Juventus, possibly for the last time, this weekend.
Di Natale, 38, is expected to bring the curtain down on his career in June.
However, the former Italy international says he first wants to enjoy the final five months of the season and take his time considering his future, rather than rushing into a decision.
"I still feel like a footballer now," he told Udinese TV. "At the end of the season, we will see. The club knows what my idea is and what I would like to do, but we will decide everything together with a great deal of calm."
Di Natale has reached double figures in each of the past nine seasons, yet he is stuck on just one goal in the current campaign.
Sunday's clash with Juve, whom Udinese beat 1-0 in Turin on the opening day of the season, could therefore be his last meeting with the Bianconeri, who tried to sign him several times over the past decade -- and it is a game he is particularly looking forward to.
Udinese's redeveloped Stadio Friuli will be completely open for the first time with all 25,000 tickets sold for the occasion.
"Yes, this could be [my last game against Juve]," Di Natale said. "I'm sure it is going to be a great game inside a beautiful stadium, and we want to play a great game for our fans and above all for our president.
"I'm truly delighted for him because he wanted this stadium more than anybody, and finally he has got it. We'll look to give him a great gift, maybe by beating a really strong side. They are really strong and they are always used to winning, but I am sure they are going to have to sweat it out to get a good result.
"I've enjoyed myself a lot these years and received a great deal from this club and from my fans, and I think I've given as much back. Sunday is going to be a beautiful emotion for me."
