Barcelona full-back Adriano has activated an option to extend his contract until 2017, the club has confirmed.
Former Brazil international Adriano, 31, was due to be a free agent this summer but has opted to prolong his stay at the Camp Nou by a further year.

A statement on Barca's official website read: "First team player Adriano Correia confirmed on Tuesday his decision to extend his contract with FC Barcelona by one season, as was the option in his current contract. The player is now committed to the club until 30 June 2017.
"FC Barcelona are delighted with the player's decision."
Adriano has made 21 appearances in all competitions this season, including 13 starts.
