Lorenzo Insigne: Italy can cause Belgium problems in Euro 2016 clash

Italy striker Lorenzo Insigne has said his team are confident they can make life tough for Belgium in their Euro 2016 opener on Monday, saying: "They are strong in attack -- but we're not bad in attack either."

Insigne, Ciro Immobile and Eder will be three of the five strikers bidding for two spots when Antonio Conte's side get their campaign under way against a Red Devils side tipped by some as potential winners of the competition.

The Napoli star told a news conference: "We're doing specific training aimed at causing Belgium problems.

"They are strong in attack -- but we're not bad in attack either. We've got quality, and we'll look to cause them problems.

"Belgium are a great side with great players at top European clubs, like [Eden] Hazard and [Kevin] De Bruyne.

"And as for [Dries] Mertens, we're teammates at Napoli and he's a player to keep an eye on as technically he's very good."

Eder, who has scored only once for Inter Milan following a winter switch from Sampdoria, said he was relaxed about his chances of facing the Belgians.

"I think faith is the most important thing a player can have from the coach, so I need to do everything to convince him," he told the news conference.

"In the year and a half I've been playing for Italy, I think I've made my contribution to qualifying and also given my maximum in friendlies.

"I'm relaxed and, if I'm called upon to play, I will be ready."

Torino forward Immobile added: "There are five forwards, and only two will play. All I hope to do is do well here and go as far as we can."
