Real Sociedad are poised to sign Sevilla striker Fernando Llorente, sources have told ESPN FC.
Llorente had been a target for Everton this summer, but Real Sociedad have moved to keep the former Spain international in La Liga.
Sevilla are willing to let Llorente move on this summer after the veteran failed to hold a regular place in the side last season.
The former Juventus man scored eight goals for Sevilla in 2015-16, helping them to a Europa League title for a third successive year, but the opportunity for regular first-team football has pushed him to make the move elsewhere.
Talks are at an advanced stage between both clubs, with Sociedad initially exploring the possibility of signing Llorente on loan while Sevilla are looking to sell him outright.
Llorente became one of the most feared strikers in Europe during his eight years at Athletic Bilbao and Sociedad will be hoping he can recapture that form in San Sebastian.
