Shawn Parker has signed a contract extension at Augsburg and immediately joined Nurnberg on a season-long loan deal.
Parker, 23, who has extended his stay at his parent club until June 2019, has dropped down a division in a bid to gain regular first-team football following injury.
"After my long period out with injury it is important for my progression as a player that I play regular football," the forward told Augsburg's official website.
"I'm confident that I can develop my game further."
