Transfer Rater: Isco to Man United, Toby Alderweireld to Barcelona

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Isco to Manchester United

According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Jose Mourinho wants to make the Spain international his big signing this summer. The report goes on to suggest the United manager would go as far as offering Paul Pogba in a deal to land the 25-year-old playmaker. There's tension between the manager and the club's record buy, with Mourinho wanting Pogba to fall in line. Isco has a €700 million release clause but Real Madrid won't get anywhere near that.

Toby Alderweireld to Barcelona

Tottenham centre-back Alderweireld is a player in high demand. The Belgian's current deal has a release clause of just £25m which becomes active in the summer of 2019. Negotiations over a new contract have come to a standstill, with Tottenham not willing to pay him the £150,000-per-week the 28-year-old has reportedly demanded. The Independent claim Barcelona are monitoring the situation and will make a move if Alderweireld doesn't extend his stay in London. He's viewed by the La Liga leaders as a potential replacement for Gerard Pique.

Dani Ceballos to Liverpool

Ceballos has told Real Madrid he wants to move to Liverpool in the summer. He arrived in the capital from Real Betis as one of the hottest properties in Spain but has been frozen out of the first-team squad. He was reportedly close to a loan move during January but it failed to materialise. Now, Marca are claiming the 21-year-old has pleaded with club president Florentino Perez to let him join Jurgen Klopp on Merseyside as soon as the window opens to allow him to get his career back on track.

Yacine Adli to Arsenal

Arsenal, Barcelona and Juventus are reportedly battling it out for Paris Saint-Germain's teen sensation. The 17-year-old would only cost around £250,000 at the end of his deal, a bargain if he fulfill his potential. Reports in L'Equipe suggest the midfielder isn't sold on the idea of linking up with compatriot Arsene Wenger at Arsenal but will join the club who offers him the best chance of developing his talent. Manchester City are also believed to be keeping tabs on the situation.

Malcom to Borussia Dortmund

Bayern Munich now have a rival in the race to sign Malcom. Borussia Dortmund are reportedly keen admirers of the Brazilian and are prepared to put their Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang money to good use. Reports in Kicker claim Bordeaux want £50m for the 20-year-old which could be a club record for Dortmund. But they are armed with the £57m they received for Aubameyang and know Malcom would be a long-term investment.
