RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuttl has praised Scotland international Oliver Burke, saying: "He gets better and better."
Burke, 19, joined the Bundesliga club from Nottingham Forest this summer in a deal believed to have been worth around €15 million.
The 19-year-old was named Footballer of the Year at the Nottingham Sports Awards on Thursday.
He has started one game for second-placed Leipzig, coming off the bench five times and scoring once.
"Oliver Burke gets better and better," Hasenhuttl told reporters ahead of Leipzig's match at Darmstadt on Saturday.
"He's a fast learner and will be an option in the No. 10 position at some point. We signed him for that."
Darmstadt, meanwhile, have announced a "tradition day" when they host the controversial guests from Leipzig on Saturday.
The club will publish an "old school" edition of their matchday magazine and install a manual scoreboard to be operated by a fan.
"Our tradition makes us proud," the club's president, Rudiger Fritsch, was quoted as saying on the official Darmstadt website.
"We are proud of our 118-year-long history with all its ups and downs which have shaped SV Darmstadt 1898 and turned the club into what it is right now."
