Senegal international Kara Mbodji has signed a new one-year contract extension at Anderlecht, which will keep him at the club until 2020.
The centre-back, who joined Anderlecht in 2015, put pen to paper on a new deal on Saturday, despite interest from elsewhere in Europe, according to the club's official website.
The 27-year-old has made 39 appearances for Senegal, scoring four goals, and represented the Lions of Teranga at the 2015 and 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Kara was named in the Team of the Tournament at the latter event, and also represented Senegal at the 2012 Olympic Games.
The Ndiass-born player began his career with Diambars in his homeland, before moving to Tromso in 2010 before joining Genk three years later.
LOSC Lille are just one club understood to be keen on the West African, according to L'Equipe.
